Hand caning
Sometimes called hole or strand cane seat weaving, is totally woven by hand through holes drilled in the frame of the piece.
 
Holes drilled completely through the frame:     
$0.95 per drilled hole


Hand Cane
Blind caning
Holes drilled in the frame BUT NOT all the way through,
i.e. the cane does not pass through the hole but sits in it: 
                                      
$1.45 per drilled hole

Press Cane
Sometimes called sheet cane or webbing. It is held in the frame with a small strip of rattan or wood, then the cane is pressed into a routed groove 
$0.16 per square inch

How to figure the press cane cost: Measure the longest width. Multiply that by the measurement of the longest length multiplied by .16.

Wide Binder Cane
Usually woven in herringbone pattern. Seen on porch rockers, rattan chairs or early country pieces. 
$0.18 per square inch

Flat Reed
Resembles splint seat weaving when colored.
Usually woven in herringbone or diamond pattern. 
$0.18 per square inch

Shaker Tape Seat Weaving

Woven cotton tape, usually used on shaker type furniture. Variety of colors available.

$1.50 per square inch


Danish chair seats

Fiber cord, woven in several patterns. I DO NOT offer weaving in the rush pattern.

All prices of seat weaving include labor and materials.

A light coloring of any woven cane or flat reed piece is available at no charge.

Any color or stain to match:                         $20.00 per woven area

Seat weaving in the rush pattern with fiber cord or twisted rush is NOT AVAILABLE.
